The Transporting Man

4

Inspired by one of the best scenes of The Prestige, this YouTube user has recreated the magic trick using stop motion filming. Of course, though the real trick behind the movie was not stop motion, this version is still a really cool take on the scene and can be inspiring and encouraging to those who want to create their own magic.

Illusion? Magic? Or Self-Mutilation?

4

In this African tribal get-together, one man is seen with a magic(?) sword through his neck. His face seems to be locked in paralysis while his arms and head are being held back by someone else in what seems to be like an attempt to keep the sword from damaging the innards of his neck. The cut is shown at different angles, and we get more than a healthy view of the damage and state of shock.

Magician Mark Mauricio freaks his audience out with his take on the cardiograph magic trick. He has one audience member write her name on a card (known to both magician and audience). Another audience member selects another random card. Mark proceeds to use "mentalism" to read the random card without looking at it and then draw it on a card.

The Quickest Magic

"I wish my wife could dress up that quick!"

The performance is absolutely perfect in this one. Two magicians perform a costume-change routine that just seems too fast to be possible. The expressions on the audience and some of the judge members are priceless. How do they do it?
